On a completely different note, I’m missing a certain chat! Heh. Not that I’m going to elaborate on that. Personal stuff people, personal stuff. I realise I tend to think more about life (mine, in particular) during breaks – it’s just weird. Oh, birthday was wonderful! Simple, but there was something about how random people wished me and significant ones made an effort to celebrate the day together that made me feel so complete. I think everyone should catch Ayat-Ayat Cinta. It’s the best movie I’ve ever watched, believe me. Okay, this is total randomness.

PS: I haven’t been meeting some of you as much as I’d like, and I’m sorry. I’m not apologizing for prioritizing school, though. Heh. I’ll make time, promise! =)

Nothing beats the lessons learnt though, especially those about life, emotions and frienships. It’s the year I learn that people from our pasts do come back, and for what it’s worth, it’s important to start accepting them again. It’s the year that has me on the common side of the receiving end of even more flattery, but taught me to be wiser in my speech.

It’s the year I realised that sister and I will not always be staying under the same roof, and that before she flies off with the man who managed to sweep her off her feet, I’d better start showing how much I love her. It’s the year I started witnessing friendships morph into something totally indescribable, reminding me that I can never really be alone because there will always be people who either care, or are in the same boat as me.

I just hope the rest of the year will continue being as fulfilling. 2008, it’s a good one… Right, and now, I need to study. =)

Anatomy and Physiology was interesting! Brought me back to my Biology days in secondary school. Surprisingly, Applied Chemistry was fun too, considering how much I used to abhor it! I love my classmates. I really, really do. =D

On another note, Fee and I can get totally clueless when we’re together. As we were sharing our usual share of stories with each other in the train, we lost track of where we were. So, after the train stopped at a station for about ten seconds or so…

Fee: Where are we?

Me: *checked* Dhoby Ghuat. *turned back to talk to her*

Me: Wait, Dhoby Ghaut! Go, go!

*bumped into Fee, who dropped her handphone in the packed train and had to go around picking it up*

Fee: THANKS SHAHIDA! Can you imagine if the doors were to close while I was picking my handphone up?! I would have died of embarrassment in that train alone! I was already set on leaving without it!

HAHA! It was just funny, seriously! Heh. I love that woman, she makes all my stupidity and silliness seem okay, especially with regards to the current situation. I’m quite surprised, albeit thankful. I’m not all that bothered anymore, though I wish it could have been different, somehow.

Right, I should go. School tomorrow, YAY! =D

Like, totally. I’m not going to translate that because I think it’s gonna lose its oomph. It’s just so funny, considering the person saying that in her typical way of doing it.

Weird, I thought I’d be happy. But after, I was reminded of the criterion, of things that really matter. Too fast, it ain’t good. At the end of the day, I know I’m just in this for the fun, nothing serious.

The confidante said deep down, she believes the ideal would come when she’s ready. The sweetheart reminded me of the whisper I have yet to hear. The sister, on the other hand, is sharing the joy.

The self is skeptical.

She’s right. My problem (or the lack of it) lies in me still believing that perfection comes to those who wait. Patience is a virtue, they say. So fine, I’ll do just that. Yes, the evaluation list is very important. No, I’m not negotiating, because you won’t do yours too.

I love Fee. Seriously.

YA! is a gift so totally precious, because they showed and often say, though subtly sometimes, that I am just as capable. We worked, they saw, faith restored. Now, I just need to hold on to that for two more AYs. Hang in there Shahida, you know you were made for better stuff.
